I love writing Threads on Twitter. But I get it, not everyone enjoys using Twitter. No worries! Now you wonāt miss a thread cause theyāre all right here. Enjoy!
One common tweet thread Iāve seen in the productivity community are lists of apps they swear by. Iām gonna throw my hat in with the what, why and how long Iāve used my go-to apps.
These apps have proven themselves to be invaluable in the time Iāve spent using them.
š§µ Ahead...
1. @NotionHQ (2+ yrs)
Looking for a way to be more productive? Iām using Notion daily for my 9-5 job and soon will be using it for everything else in my life.
Some examples: Writing Trackers, Scrivener-style series bible, blog post writing, home bill tracking, and more.
2. @MatterApp (<1 yr)
This is my favorite for the second half of 2022. Being able to save twitter threads into one post-style read alone makes this an invaluable app.
Only thing I wish is that it were avail on the web so I can easily copy/paste those threads for future use.
3. @Twitter (10+ yrs)
If you had asked me a year ago if Twitter would be on my top anything for productivity apps, I wouldāve said HELL NO without hesitation.
Since then Iāve discovered the secret of lists, threads, & following non-toxic people.
4. @Linktree_ (5+ yrs)
This has been one of those āset it & forget itā (till I need to update itā¦) kind of apps that Iāve had for a long time. I mention it here because itās a great catch-all resource to have for whatever youāre working on & they have a dedicated app now! YAY!
5. Fantastical (+/- 5 yrs)
Iāve gone back & forth between Fantastical & Apple Calendar. Iāve never truly had a great relationship with time management but I realize how helpful tracking all of the appointments alone can be! Consider this a "work-in-progress relationship."
6. @todoist (>2 yrs)
Like Fantastical, Iām having a hard time acclimating to the idea of keeping a dedicated list of what I need to do on a day-to-day basis. Which is funny because I set this up for myself with my 9-5 & itās the single best thing Iāve ever done.
7. & 8. Apple Mail & Notes
Iāve tried just about every email & note-taking apps there are. Trust me, I have. I always default back to these. Nothing compares to ease of use for notes & ability to connect all of my email accounts (8+) without jumping through a bunch of hoops.
9. Apple Podcasts
If youāre not listening to at least one podcast, you are truly missing out. But donāt worry, Iāve got a list of my favorites coming!
I think podcasts are just a great addition to learning, focusing, & entertainment too. Plus theyāre free!
10. @YouTube
I saved the best for last. I spend a majority of my time in YouTube. I use it to learn and for inspiration. Some of my favorite people are āYouTube Personalitiesā that Iāve been watching for many many years.
