Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is fishing!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.
“Fish bitin’ tonight, Herb?”
“Naw, Cal. Not one nibble since—” Herb slaps his knee, recalling a past memory. “Do you remember?”
“No, Herb. How many times I gotta remind you, I don’t fish during the day. That’s for amateurs. A real fisherman works under a full moon. When the best catch happens.”
Herb rolled his eyes at his friend. For as long as he’d known him, Cal had always talked about ‘the best catch.’
“Tonight’s the night, Herb. I can feel it.” He casts his line and in minutes feels a tug. With much effort he reels in a corpse.
