The line was long to receive our cups. They weren’t special in any way. Just ordinary plastic cups. The magic would come later. The point was what we all have to do to prove our commitment.
With cup in hand, I found a seat between two people I never met before but we tapped cups and instantly we were family. The liquid inside was clear. Just like water. But it wasn’t water. It was magic in a cup. That’s what I was told. We were told.
And now the time has come for us to drink together. And live forever.
Devotion is love. What more to say?
