TRANSCRIPT
The camp fire crackled. Embers swirled in the air as orange and yellow flames popped and bounced to the rhythm of the wind. Sitting around the camp fire were six best friends. Their last weekend together before they must become adults.
No one spoke a word or made eye-contact with each other. Maybe no one remembered or cared why they were there? Maybe they could just enjoy being teenagers, having fun and making mistakes, one more night.
Till they hear a growl in the distance that catches everyones attention. With the call of the wild they leave their youth behind.
Ever Fire is the ever burning space for people to gather, speak, share stories and heart. It’s the human connection and need for it. It’s the feeling that you are heard, that you can listen, and that you will walk away better known, seen, and appreciated.

The warmth, the smell, the eye-watering smoke...and the tender years, standing on the edge of adulthood. All bring such vivid memories to my mind...and then the growl, catching my breath! I see it as an analogy of what is beyond the last days of youth. Fascinating...so much conveyed in just 100 words.
