Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.

I’m not a gamblin’ man. I avoid the dice and the wheel is a game of luck. I never play a game that requires Lady Luck to be on my side. She left me long ago.

But my one vice comes at the end of a card table. I can’t resist a deck of cards. I hear the shuffle and my ears perk up. Doesn’t matter what the game is. I pull up a chair and I’m all in. Except this one time when I wish I wasn’t.

It was a one person game and the first card was Death.
