“Grandpa, what big eyes you have…” The boy whispered, keeping his distance from his grandfather who was hooked up to all kinds of machines at the hospital. His eyes were open but he couldn’t speak. The boy’s parents were there, talking to a doctor in the room but the grandfather stared unblinkingly at his grandson.
“Tell me, boy, what do you fear most?” The boy heard a voice and looked up at the adults who seemed not to hear it.
“Nothing. I am fearless,” the boy stammered. “What do you fear most, grandfather?”
“Come closer and I will tell you.”
Little Trickster is the silly, minor, harmless chaos of life. Sometimes a person, sometimes happenstance. They change your plans, but without malice. Merely to make things different, strange, silly. Try to embrace a little whimsy in life.
