“Runners! On your marks! Get set! GO!” The host fired his pistol into the air, sending dozens of fearful people running down a predetermined path.
There were runners of all ages and ethnicities. Each of them with one chance in one thousand to get to the finish line and win the largest prize that could forever change their life.
The host was taken to a nearby tent to watch the Death Race with his fellow spectators. He served wine and the best appetizers money could buy. They cheered and placed their bets on who would die before the finish line.
Adversary is the foe that we all have. The severity is determined by which side is upright. A childhood rival is healthy. An angry, cruel foe is not.
