Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is party!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.
I always struggle with what to wear to a party. Except on Halloween Eve. It’s when I finally get to go as myself and no one will avoid me like the plague. I make fast friends and dance the night away. I can be me!
Only trouble is, if someone at the party recognizes me. There was this one time, five years ago, when I snuck into a party where I swore no one would even know my name. How was I supposed to know my childhood best friend would be there and that she’d faint when she saw me.
Revelry is the call to arms for joy, happiness, and freedom. Do not wait for the party to come to you, bring it to others. Find your own joys, and be prepared to create it if you must. There are times when excess, within your other limitations, is a must. So let it happen, and go for it.
