Moonbeams | A 100 Word Story
#569 | XVIII The Moon | Rhythm and Soul Tarot
Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is moon!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.
Nameâs Flint. Itâs not everyday I sees a stranger walkinâ round âere at this hour. Naw. Not when the moonâs full and the stars twinkle this bright. But you git along on home now. Before the moonbeams catch hold a yer. I can only holdâem back but fer so long.
Whatâs that? You wanna stick around and watch? Heh. Well, alright. It just might be yer funeral then. Ya see, I just picks up my old gee-tar âere that my paw gave me from his paw before him. And when I starts ter strumminâ those moonbeams disappear to yesterdayâs dreams.
Now in a cottage built of lilacs and laughter
I know the meaning of the words "Ever after"
And I'll always see polka dots and moonbeams
When I kiss the pug-nosed dream
