She sat up in bed, waiting for the usual signal that her husband is home soon. His headlights always shine through the blinds when he pulls up their driveway. Every night he’s late and every night he has the same “this is the busiest time of year” excuse. But she knew better.
The light flickered on the blinds and she knew her idea would work. It took her a long time to get up the nerve to confront him with her allegations. Let alone force a confession out of him.
But when the bedroom door opened, she pulled the trigger.
