Write a 100 word story.

The headstone read: Here Lies the Body of Helena Craig. Then, spray painted in red were the words, “Better off dead.” A phrase attributed to Helena Craig for most of her adult life.
A stranger places a bouquet of roses on her grave. Paying his respects for the promise they made to each other. She kept her end of the deal. Which is why she’s buried six feet under. He has not kept his promise. Which is why he’s still among the living.
But he’s not here tonight to pay his respects. He grabs a nearby shovel and starts digging.
