“Jingle bells! Jingle bells…” Corner Santa swung his bell, trying to keep time with the millionth time he would be singing Jingle Bells tonight. Whenever passersby got too close to drop coins in the donation bucket they would catch a whiff of alcohol secreting from his pores.
A young child holding his mother’s hand tightly approached. The mother had a cautious expression while the child had a grin on his face. “Are you the real Santa?”
Corner Santa looked down at the child, tapped his nose with his bell and looked up to the sky as it started to snow.
