The Christmas Cracker | A 100 Word Story

Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is game!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.

Just before the party ended, waiters walked around with trays full of Christmas Crackers. One for each guest with instructions not to open it until directed to do so.

The guests love a party game. They scrambled around the dance floor in search of a partner. Once the excitement and noise had ceased, the host stepped up to a microphone and said:

“I hope all of you got your crackers?” She held up hers and waited till everyone else in the room did the same. “Excellent. Ready. Set. Pull!”

On the far side of the room there came an explosion.
