The car slowly pulled into the parking lot, looking for a spot. The slower it moved the more agitated David became from the backseat, clutching his tree costume.

“Dad, can you hurry up. I hear the drums already. The show started,” David pleaded.

“Why don’t you get out here, sport. We’ll see you inside.” David’s dad said, pulling over so his son could get out.

“Break a leg,” David’s mother, who rarely spoke two words, said.

David ran inside through the side entrance. Everyone was in panic mode, so no one noticed him. And that’s what he was hoping for.
