Samantha pulled on the light switch that flickered and buzzed to life. “Well? What do you think? Good, huh?”

“A little too good,” David answered. “How exactly did you manage it?” He started to ask. “Never mind. Don’t answer that.” Samantha remained quiet. “Are you ready for what comes next?”

Her eyes widened. “Are you sure you want to go through with it? And if we get caught—”

“No one’s getting caught. Just make sure you don’t miss, otherwise I’ll be the dead one.”

“So long as you hit your mark the bucket of water will do exactly as intended.”
