Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.

Smiling on the outside but worried on the inside, David walked on stage. He tried to remember his lines but couldn’t recall any mention of there being a coffin in this or any scene. And yet, there it was, right in the center, a spotlight trained on it.

David started to recite his lines, waiting for the music to begin. Instead, the coffin opened. The audience gasped and David stepped back when he saw a figure sit up rather suddenly then turn their head towards him.

This was not a Dickens tale but David knew Death when he saw it.
