The Red Phone | A 100 Word Story

Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is train!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.

The train came to a screeching halt after the emergency brake was pulled. Passengers jerked in their seats, suitcases toppled, and the conductors scrambled to find who stopped the train and why.

One by one they each radioed in to the train operator if their car was “ALL CLEAR!” And one by one he looked at his manifest and ticked a box beside each car. It was the tenth car that worried him most. This car was carrying the most dangerous cargo ever.

“Sir, Ten pulled! I repeat. Ten pulled!” With a shaky hand he picked up the red phone.
