“Something about this just seems morbid,” James said, grabbing his best friend’s hand. Tim pulled him up onto the garden wall and together they jumped down on the other side.
“Come on, we’ve been doing this every year since we were old enough to climb out of our bedroom windows,” Tim reasoned.
“Yeah, but we’re adults now. Don’t you think it’s strange to ring in the New Year in a cemetery?” James asked, pouring a bottle of cheap champagne into two plastic cups.
“It’s not like we’re interrupting their party plans.” Tim raised his cup.
“Cheers,” whispered a ghostly voice.
