With the driver in hand, he approaches the tee. A slight swing. Steadies his grip on the club. Another slight swing. He looks down the fairway.
“You see, Carl, the club is just as important as the swing and the steadiness of the golf ball on the tee.”
Carl blinks twice, a bead of sweat rolls down the side of his face as he tries to steady his breathing. The tee wedged between his teeth, a golf ball perched on top.
“That’s better, Carl. Easy does it!” Before Carl can react the driver comes within an inch of his face.
