Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is boat!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.
A trawler floats aimlessly in the murky waters. The calm before the second round of a storm on the horizon. Whether or not its owner is on board remains to be seen as dark grey clouds form in the sky.
The boat begins to rock. Its sails barely able to catch the wind. Tears from the earlier storm leave it vulnerable to this second swell.
Lightning lights up the sky as large raindrops fall like boulders on the boat. Another crack opens the sky as lightning hits a sail, sparking a fire.
Taking on water, the boat begins to sink.

Hi, Erica. I write 100-word stories as well. I may not like all your tales but I promise to comment fair and honestly when I do. Continued luck! 😎
