The speaker in my bedroom crackles to life. I stick up my middle finger at it as the music starts to play.
I glance out my bedroom window to see the others, more drone than human, standing at attention, saluting a statue in the middle of the courtyard. I roll my eyes and fall back onto my bed. Here it comes…
COMRADES … THERE IS A PLAGUE IN OUR MIDST … WE ARE ON TO YOU … WE ARE COMING FOR YOU … RESISTANCE MEANS DEATH …
I hear keys jingle outside my door. This may be my end. But the resistance will never die.
