“She’s at it again, Marv,” Carol said, looking out their kitchen window, peeking through the curtain at their neighbor’s backyard. “She’s digging.” Carol turned to see Marv watching Jeopardy on their 13” television. She rolled her eyes, “you’re not listening again.”
She looked back out the window but her neighbor was gone. The shovel stuck out of a mound of dirt. Feeling curious she checked one more time to confirm her husband was still ignoring her before heading to the backyard for a closer look.
Carol crept up to the hole and looked in. “Boo!” Carol fell into the hole.
