Bang. Bang. Bang.
“Hector, open up. I know you’re in there! My sink’s still leaking.” Hands on hips, Mrs. Garrity in her house dress and favorite slippers, listens quietly at the door of apartment 4B. The janitor’s apartment.
Mrs. Garrity sucks her teeth and shuffles back to her apartment down the hall, slamming the door behind her.
Several hours later Mrs. Garrity returns. Bang. Bang. Bang. “You better open up. I called the cops.”
When they arrive, they notice a strange odor coming from apartment 4B. “Typical,” said Mrs. Garrity, “he’d do anything to get out of fixing my sink.”
