“You’ve hardly said a word, father. Is everything alright?” He invited his four daughters to their childhood home. Something he hadn’t done since their mother died in an accident exactly one year ago today. Each of them terrified of him. Secretly wondering if her death was no accident.
He watched them eating their dinner in silence. None of them dared to look him in the eye.
“Oh, everything is just fine. I must confess, it was actually your mother who wanted to see you all.”
The girls gasped when they looked up to see a ghostly female enter the room.
