“I feel her most, Father, when I play my instrument,” he whispered to the priest in the confessional. “I can’t play anymore. I won’t.”
“I don’t understand. Surely, feeling closer to someone you loved can’t be bad?” The priest said.
“Father, when I say, ‘I feel her,’ I don’t mean it in a heavenly way. I feel her cold, dead, hands wrap around my throat. She knows what I’ve done and she’s come for me. Help me, Father! How can I get rid of her?”
The priest sat silently for a moment. “Go home and play till justice is done.”
