No one wanted anything to do with Buster when they heard he’d be getting out of prison that morning. With the sun at his back he walked for miles to the nearest town. His hometown. But no one dare even glance in his direction.
He stopped at the local saloon for a drink when whispers started to grow. What was Buster playing at, returning to the town where he beat a man within an inch of his life. That man being alive is what kept Buster from the hangman’s noose.
“I aim to finish what I started. Where is he?”
