“I really ‘preciate you lettin’ me use yer place, Buck,” Jim grunted, gripping the burlap bag he yanked it up the front porch steps.
“No worries, Jimbo. Consider us even.”
Jim dropped his end of the bag with a thud. “Even? What you mean, Buck?”
Buck grinned. Letting go of the bag too, he plucked a cig from behind his ear and lit it. “‘Member the night you got piss drunk and I had to bring yer sorry bee-hind home? Well, I had one in my trunk I had to unload.”
“You buried a body on my property?!” Jim shouted.
