I looked back just in time to see the cyclone touch down. We were several hundred yards ahead of it but the air around us was still strong.
She wraps her arms around my waist even tighter. I knew we’d be safe but I don’t tell her that.
I was born in the middle of a storm just like this. But eventually the clouds parted and the sun came out in the end.
I feel the back of my ride lift off the ground. I can’t feel her near anymore. I look back and she’s gone. Taken by the storm.
