“Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. We lay our brother to rest with the angels too soon.”
Pedro raised his guitar up and the others did the same. Then one by one they swung their guitars down onto the freshly dug mound of dirt. Each willing to sacrifice a piece of themselves. A sign of loyalty.
As each guitar smashed into dozens of pieces, the notes each struck rose up to the heavens causing storm clouds overhead. And rain drops began to fall.
Pedro looked up and shouted, “The angels weep for us tonight. But tomorrow we go to war!”
