Will You Marry Me? | A 100 Word Story
#694 | III The Empress - Morella | Edgar Allan Poe Tarot
Today on Erica Drayton Writes, the Prompt is grave!
Write a 100 word story.
And tag me if you take up the challenge.
How my daughter has grown up so fast! It seems like only yesterday she had died for the first time. Same as I, and my mother before me. Such is the burden the women in our family have to bear till we are wed.
The first time she died was painless for her, but not for me. The second time was much easier for me. I only cried a little. Having survived eighteen deaths she is now ready for marriage. To pass on this tradition to her daughter.
Soon, the perfect husband will come along. Or death will come again.
