One day a man was riding his bike to work as he had done, without incident, for years. Except, on this particularly sunny day, while stopped at a red light, a red car with a spider’s web on the hood, pulled up slowly beside him. He could not see the driver and the engine revved, ready to speed when the light turned green.

The man was cautious but he was also late for work. The light turned green and the car sped off into the distance. Relief washed over him until he rounded the corner and crashed into a spider.
