Mountains of mans creation inhabit a dark place. Where creatures crawl and skitter across uneven ground. A puddle of sludge bubbles, surrounded by dirt older than dirt. Anyone who’s encountered the sludge and dares to touch it, is pulled in and never seen again.
One arm lays beyond the sludge; severed. Its owner on the other side of the dirt, forever searching, unable to move.
The ground shakes. Dirt shifts. Sludge ripples.
“Daniel! What did I tell you about shoving your mess under your bed? That doesn’t count young man!”
The giant stomps away. An arm disappears into the sludge.
