Dirt. It’s not just for growing things. I learned that very early on from my mother. Dirt has much more to it. Dirt, as it happens, can be best suited for covering up things.
When I was little I would follow my mum down into the cellar and bury my dolls. “Just like mummy!” I would say to friends and neighbors.
She would smile and pat my head. “Children.” Followed by a shrug.
As I got older I moved on from dolls to pets. Some died of natural causes.
Now I’m a teenager and my next grave is quite bigger.
