She was the only one in purple and everyone at the ball wondered who she was. The mask she wore depicted a dark grey cat with long whiskers and black as night feathers all around.
Standing in the center of the dance floor she waited for the first brave soul to ask for her hand. Then a hooded shadow draped in black took her hand. Enveloped her in its cape and they vanished into the night.
