I know I should love my job and when I first started out I did. The hours were great. I loved working the night shift. Always quiet. Very little fuss. And I got to work alone so I could handle the workload however I wanted. What more could I ask for besides a raise?
But every once in a while I get stuck doing the job no one else wants. Tonight is one of those times. Pay no attention to the lights and sirens. It’s far too late for that.
Once the Reader Man is called there’s no turning back.
