Helena went missing after a day of playing with her friends, her parents and neighbors rallied together to search for her. After about an hour with no luck they called the local sheriff who questioned her playmates.
Three of them seemed to think Helena was playing a trick on everyone and would return home. But the fourth child, Hector, felt differently. He expressed concern that Helena went into The Whispers, a patch of forest just outside of town that everyone was warned to avoid at all costs.
When the time came to enter The Whispers, even her parents were hesitant.
