The cemetery was properly lit by lampposts every couple of feet. Though that wouldnât help. What they were hoping to find wouldnât be helped by the full moon glow or the street lights guiding their way towards the only mausoleum left standing.
It was condemned years ago. Unsafe for anyone to visit, let alone stay the night.
But being able to find the secret door inside meant ignoring the legend in favor of a rumored fortune.
The door wasnât easy to open, and there was confusion as to the sleeping arrangements, so no one heard the laughter or the scream.
