TRANSCRIPT
The brakes failed halfway down the mountain. Metal against metal, a shrill slice through the air. The steering wheel jerked in my hands, useless now. I could still see the dark figure step out onto the road. My instincts kicking in as I hit the brakes too lateā¦
Now Iām careening down the side of a mountain, waiting for impact. Trees blur past as the car catches speed. I close my eyes and pray I hit a tree. End this madness. I feel my seatbelt tighten as my body tries to lurch forward.
Then it got quiet in the end.
