She opened her eyes and instantly knew something was wrong. The ground beneath her was cold and damp. She touched it cautiously, her hands sinking into the sand. Her heart raced. Not again.
She scrambled to her feet. The long nightgown she wore tripped her as she tried to run faster. The crash of waves made her knees wobble and she stumbled. Why are you doing this to me? Wake up. Wake up!
When the water swept up to her feet it made her scream so loudly it woke her.
βIt was just a dream,β she sighed from her coffin.
