The butterfly migration happens once a year. It is both the most beautiful sight and the most deadly for those caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It’s their wings. They are sharper than razor blades and can be just as deadly. It is why, at this time of year, residents are warned to remain indoors. There is little else they can do against the butterflies out for blood.
First it’s the flapping sound their wings make, flying in unison down the street. Thousands of them. Searching for that one human looking to get up close and eaten.
