I love writing Threads on Twitter. But I get it, not everyone enjoys using Twitter. No worries! Now you won’t miss a thread cause they’re all right here. Enjoy!

Agatha Christie, author of 67 novels, highest selling author (to this day), and the lady of mystery is by far my favorite writer of all time.
What makes her books stand the test of time and writers today are still using her blueprints for their own work?
🧵 ahead…

MURDER
So simple & yet still no one does it better than Agatha Christie. Her use of poison is still the gold standard for how it should be done. When my wife & I purchased foxglove, the woman at the check-out counter said, “ah, the deadly Agatha Christie plant.” Nuff said.

CHARACTERS
If you don’t know Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple, you’ve at least seen/heard of her most popular books. Turned into movies still to this day. Murder on the Orient Express, Witness for the Prosecution, and Death on the Nile, to mention but a few.

MYSTERY
The how & the who always draw me into each & every story. I want to solve the crime, & sometimes I can, based on the clues. It’s not like she’s trying to intentionally hide anything or overcomplicate the end result. So simple you ask “how did I not see that sooner?”
