Lady Hawkesworth sat on her front porch enjoying the first day of cool air that they’d had in a long time. In the distance she can hear children playing and laughter carried on the breeze that blew by.
She shielded her eyes from the sun as she stood up and took the two steps down from her porch. Something wasn’t right. She could sense it.
Suddenly, a girl with flaming orange hair, strumming a guitar, happened to be walking by. Lady Hawkesworth didn’t recognize her and she knew everyone. Before she could inquire after the girl’s name, she was gone.
For five long years
I thought you were my man
But I found out
I'm just a link in your chain
Oh, you got me where you want me
I ain't nothin' but your fool
You treated me mean
Oh, you treated me cruel
