“This can’t be happening,” Manuella said, her hand shaking. “This can’t be happening!” Flip grabbed the candle from her and carefully placed it back on the mantle while Manuella repeated the phrase one more time.
“Maybe you can put the flame back?” Flip said, putting his all too familiar smile on his face.
“Oh sure, and while I’m at it, why don’t I just make you taller and give you more muscles, too!” Manuella shouted.
“No need to get nasty. You’re the one who blew the candle out. Not me. I’m just trying to help,” Flip said, headed for the front door.
