The Rescue | A 100 Word Story
#712 | XXI The World - Eldorado - A Descent into the Maelström | Edgar Allan Poe Tarot
The princess is in that castle on the other side of the river. She requires rescuing, as most do. And I require someone to rescue. I’m not dressed like this for nothing. I wear this armor to protect against the evil I will encounter on my journey.
I ride this horse to get me to my destination faster. Though my horse would disagree with my assessment of his role in this story. He much prefer to linger by the water’s edge and sip.
Then again, I can see the value in taking one’s time. To stop and drink the water.
