I realize the irony in the fact that I managed to change my Substack name AGAIN just before this post was prescheduled and didn't have time to add it here because I was too busy creating the logos and wordmark, etc in Canva and Photoshop (respectively...) but I hope 🤞🏾 that I am able to keep this name "Pen to Paper Stories" for all of 2023? Let's check back in December and see what name I have...
I thought of Adventures in Secrecy with T Van Santana in less than a minute. I knew I would overthink it and that it would haunt me if I didn't like it, so I tried to quickly think of something I could live with. I don't know how fitting a title it is 😄 but I'm pretty happy with it. I think titles are mainly there to help us stay engaged with the work.
I just realized Substack adds "Writes" in front of our Substack names when commenting on other Substacks! AH!! Now I need to make sure whatever I stick with works when you include the word "Writes" in front of it!
If I had left it just my name it would say "Writes Erica Drayton" which just wouldn't make much sense...yet another wrench in the planning...
But so far every time I come to Substack and see "Pen to Paper Stories" I like it so that is a step in the right direction.
Adventures in Secrecy is both mysterious and engaging. Good Substack title. Definitely makes the reader curious to want to learn more about what you write.
My main Substack (Speculations from the Wide Open Spaces) is carried over from my WordPress blog. I wanted something different from my former LiveJournal, which was something like On Skiing, Writing and Horses. Or something like that. Plus, right now, anyway, I'm writing it from the wide open spaces of Eastern Oregon, and I'm a science fiction and fantasy writer, so...speculations.
My fiction blog is simply Martiniere Stories because I'm serializing stories from the assorted Martiniere multiverses.
