Hey Erica,

your idea of writing a story from the POV of the murderer is a classic game-changer!

I guess it would be fascinating to watch Harry Potter from the view of Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, or a silent side character.

What do you think?

Ooh, there are SO MANY great characters in Harry Potter to choose from! Perhaps if each book were to take the POV of a particular character?

Part of me would love to see Hagrid or Snape! Or even see more of what Sirius Black was up to before he was captured by the Dementors. I mean, we see some flashbacks but to take the entire story as we know it from their eyes, especially Hagrid, who I always suspected was "watching in the wings" for most of those 7 years, would be rather fascinating.

Actually, now that I say all this...and you mention a "silent" character. Why not go REALLY outside the box and go with Hedwig! HA! I've always been fascinated by the story of Dobby or any other house elf, for that matter.

Sorry, you mentioned Harry Potter and my mind just went in all SORTS of directions! I own about 6 different box set collections and other HP collectibles. It's a series that is close to my heart because book 4, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was the last book my mother ever read out loud to me.

Your fascination and close relationship with Harry Potter amazes me, Erica.

The fourth film happens to be the last one I watched, by the way.

Sirius Black would be definitely in my top list of possible POVs. As a little child, he was one of my favourite characters and I sincerely wished for Harry to live with him forever (part of me also craved to be there).

A deeper look into the lives of the elves is much intriguing :) What a great thought!

When I’m able to unbox all of my many boxes of books and dedicate a few shelves to all my HP things, I’m def going to write a post all about it and the fact that in 5-6 years time I’ll be able to read this series with my son so he can experience it for the first time like I did. Only difference is I’ll have the illustrated editions or MinaLima editions to read him so he’ll have some amazing illustrations to look at as well.
