Dear Reader,
This is going to be short and sweet as I’ve been a bit under the weather this past week and I’ve got Taskmaster and The Traitors Australia (S2) waiting to be watched.
100 WORD STORIES
I bid a fond farewell to April and the 30 poems I wrote every single day and welcome back writing a simple 100 word story daily. This month I’m tackling the Major Arcana cards of my Oz and Wonderland Tarot deck. I hadn’t really intended to create a connected story but that is what’s happened. Start reading from May 1st and follow along daily to find out what happens next. I do write these stories fresh every night so even I don’t know what will happen till I start writing it!

I did a look back on my journey writing 100 word stories since I marked the 1 year anniversary on May 1st. You can read the Year of Drayton to learn all about it.
ANATOMY OF TYPEWRITERS | ANTHOLOGY
*Paid Subscribers Only
Birthright, the third short story for my anthology concluded with Part 2 and Part 3 in April. Now that we are at the beginning of May I am glad to introduce the next short story: The Flat.
Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, this story has a bit of a twist as it has the POV of the killer instead of the nosey neighbor. And the clever way in which I incorporate a typewriter in this one is my favorite (so far…). Read Part 1 here and look for the rest of the story to unfold throughout the month of May!

THE MURDER PEN CLUB
My most secret passion is serial killers. I am fascinated by them. So it should come as no surprise to you that my idols are Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock. This club is my way to connect with them and share with you my love for all of their work through literature and film.
Thank you so much for the mention!
